In the heart of Windsor, a heartwarming event recently unfolded, bringing together two generations in a beautiful display of connection and community spirit. The Office of Family and Community Partnerships (OFCP) hosted an intergenerational playgroup at the Windsor Senior Center, and the results were nothing short of inspiring.

Seniors and little ones alike reveled in the joy of shared experiences, laughter, and learning. It was a testament to the power of intergenerational bonding and the positive impact it can have on both ends of the age spectrum. From storytelling sessions to simple games, every moment was infused with warmth and connection.

The OFCP is an integral part of Windsor Public Schools (WPS), led by Dr. Michael Mallery and Gianna Gill. At the core of their vision is the belief in strengthening the bond between home and school through vibrant partnership opportunities. Initiatives like the birth-to-three playgroups exemplify this commitment to early learning and family empowerment.

Beyond the early years, the OFCP continues to support families as their children progress through the school system. With a wide array of engagement opportunities tailored to suit various schedules and preferences, families are encouraged to take an active role in their children's education every step of the way.

As we reflect on the success of the recent intergenerational playgroup, we are reminded of the power of community love and the importance of fostering connections across generations. In Windsor, we truly are WIN-dsor, united by our shared commitment to building a stronger, more connected community. #weareWINdsor
