Social Emotional Learning at WPS:
Windsor Public Schools (WPS) has committed to embedding Social Emotional Learning district-wide. We are focused and dedicated to the social, emotional, and educational growth of all WPS students, teachers, staff, and families. Our priority is to support WPS in the development of the skills, attitudes, and values necessary to engage in continuous self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.

CASEL:
The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) is a trusted source for knowledge about high-quality, evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL). CASEL supports educators and policy leaders and enhances the experiences and outcomes for all PreK-12 students.
Second Step:
This pre-school, elementary, and middle curriculum provides students with a holistic approach to building supportive communities for every child through social-emotional learning.

With over 65 years of combined research and SEL experience, Aperture Education has carefully developed the DESSA suite of assessments to meet the needs of students and educators. Based on and exceeding CASEL (TM) standards, the DESSA reveals an in-depth, comprehensive view of student social and emotional skills.
