Tristan Davis

Tristan A. Davis was born and reared in Windsor, Connecticut, and his first love has always been music. He began his musical adventure at the age of three, studied the violin at the age of six, and then transferred to the trumpet at the age of eight. Tristan committed to the trumpet when he was 14 years old, and he has been playing, creating, and combining music ever since.

Tristan is a talented trumpet musician who has won several accolades both in and out of school and has traveled all across Connecticut showcasing his talent mainly in the Windsor and Greater Hartford areas.

Tristan has been involved in leadership activities since he first stepped into Windsor High School.  He has committed four years to our AFJROTC program, and currently serves as the Operations Squadron Commander.  He has over 170 community service hours with AFJROTC alone.  He is a four year member of the Jazz Ensemble and Symphonic Band, taking leadership roles in his junior and senior years.  He is a Student Advisory Leader, leading social/emotional wellness lessons during Connections to underclassmen.  Tristan has consistently been a strong student, but what stands out the most about him is his work ethic and the pride he takes in doing all he undertakes at the highest level.

In addition to music, Tristan specializes in Jiu-Jitsu, loves community service and organization, participates in the Greater Hartford Alumni Chapter Kappa League as the new Vice President, and various social justice clubs around the state. Tristan is a huge advocate for mental health within the lives of teens and is always looking for ways to make improvement to the lives around himself and others.

Tristan will be undertaking a dual major in Music Education and Jazz Studies, and hopes to attend either Hampton University or Western Connecticut State University for his studies.
